Ah, the scientific joys one may encounter going about his daily work as a home inspector! The people are always fascinating, as are all the places mold can grow, yet often nature and manmade materials interact to do something especially magical. Such was the case as documented in this picture. What could it possibly be? Total internal reflection of sunlight in a PVC plumbing vent!
