I bought a unit like this, to hook up to our 4500 watt generator, after we lost power during a heat wave: wife unhappy ergo husband unhappy. But these would be great for homes that don't have central air...imagine NOT freezing in your basement all summer and actually being comfortable upstairs at bedtime! For under $300!
