Not Just an Old Shed

Updated: Jan 5

We moved to Fredericksburg into a house built in1863. This out building may have been slave quarters, due to evidence of an old stove. We are passionately restoring it and giving it new life.

A new metal roof will be installed tomorrow.

My work comes on the floor and walls next with this modern pile of lumber.

These old cedar posts were the best to avoid decay by moisture. However, as I say in my inspections, leaky gutters cause the most damage. This one poured down for decades, so concrete footings had to rise to greet them.

Exterior Complete!
